Encouraging a healthier lifestyle through healthy eating, education & support

Anonymous asked: I'm 16 years old, I weigh 130 lbs, and I'm 5 feet tall. I play soccer, mostly year around, and softball as well. Throughout the year I have been trying to lose weight, I exercise and try to eat healthy but the thing is it doesn't work. I've tried so hard and it never works, it's a little depressing. Last summer I woke up every morning at 6 and ran a mile, maybe a mile and a half, and it never worked I still felt the same. I have no idea of what to do anymore and I'm getting a little tired of it. Do you maybe have any helpful ideas of what I can do? I'm willing to try anything.

Have you ever had your thyroid checked out? Could be a thyroid issue? Just a far stretch but if you have tried that hard and still seen no results there may be something else wrong.

I sound like a broken record but you know what helped me and some of my friends lose weight? drinking this shakeology every morning. On top of working out and eating healthy well balanced meals. Maybe try that out?

Also, sometimes your body hits a plateau and gets used to the same workout you do everyday so you don’t lose weight. Try mixing it up. Run one day, then the next day do interval training such as this workout, then another day ride your bike. Mix it up as much as possible…always keep your body guessing.

Another thing that has helped a lot of people lose weight is organic, unrefined, extra virgin coconut oil. Try it out! I eat it in the morning.

Instead of eating 2 or 3 huge meals a day try and and eat more frequent smaller meals throughout the day. Snack on apples and raw nuts to get you through to your next meal.

Good luck!! You can do this!!
